Dożynki

A Women’s Harvest Gathering

Inspired by the Polish harvest celebration of Dożynki, this ceremonial workshop invites women to gather in gratitude for the season’s abundance—and to honor the personal harvests of their own lives.

Dożynki traditionally marks the completion of the grain harvest with intricately woven wreaths, sheaves of grain, shared bread, music, and expressions of gratitude. Women played an important role in creating and carrying the symbolic harvest wreath, or wieniec dożynkowy.

We will make Flower & Herb Wreath Crowns

Gather in a circle to honor the beauty of flowers, herbs, and an ancient tradition of creating wreath crowns together.

Surrounded by the fragrance of lavender, rosemary, roses, and seasonal botanicals, each participant will slowly create a rustic, hand-tied wreath crown.

As we weave, we will explore the scents, textures, stories, and symbolism of the plants, choosing each botanical with intention. We will close by placing our wreath crowns upon our heads—a shared celebration of nature, creativity, beauty, and connection.
