This online workshop explores Horticultural Therapy as a nurturing, nature/plant-based practice grounded in the 4 Pillars and the 5 Senses. Through simple examples of hands-on activities, participants will learn how to offer meaningful plant-centered experiences for different populations and settings.
Designed for therapists and nature-based practitioners, this course provides a practical overview of horticultural therapy foundations, including sensory engagement, therapeutic activities, and population-specific adaptations. Participants will leave with clear, transferable tools they can integrate into their own therapeutic and eco-therapy practices. Practices such as, Eco-Therapists, Forest Bathing facilitators, Counselors (Grief, Family, Children), Teachers, Community Garden organizations and Recreation/Engagement Directors in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Open to everyone looking to deepen their personal practice and connection to nature and plants for well-being. Understand the 4 Pillars of Horticultural Therapy and how they support whole-person wellness and resilience.
Explore the 5 Senses as a foundation for creating calming, engaging nature/plant-based experiences. Horticultural therapy activities and benefits.
